The Smile tells the story of a troubled young opera singer during her rehearsal work. She finds herself a prisoner of the Theatre Royal de Namur, crushed by a fantasy of fame, then by a passionate romantic relationship, and it will be two poems by William Blake that will show her the direction to try to get out of her anxieties: 'The Fly', then 'The Smile'.
