2016 Cannes

The Japanese-French co-production The Red Turtle directed by Michael Dudok de Wit has won UN CERTAIN REGARD SPECIAL PRIZE at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival! It's a dialogue-less film which follows the major life stages of a castaway on a deserted tropical island populated by turtles, crabs and birds.
